Should make it no problem.
I have rideen from Yorks to the south coast many times on 2T's ranging in size from 100's to 350.
I just don't get this whole 2T is so unreliable that you canno't ride any distance on them... Liike any mechanical object, look after it and it will look after you ____________________ Just because my bike was A DIVVY, does not mean i am...... |

I did 300 miles in one day on my nsr125, had no problems the whole way and was probably pulling more like a 70 average, then again I have no idea was watching the scenery more than my speedo .
Bear in mind that my bike had full luggage, check my bikepics page in my sig to see what I mean by full luggage.
The a303 is a bit boring, I rode it on that trip and it managed to get me from oxfordshire to the more interesting southwest roads quickly, but its dotted with a lot of mobile speed camera traps (watch every bridge).
But yeh I did that kind of millage on my NSR with no problems at all, I did a piston ring check after and the engine was in perfect condition . ____________________ Past: 55 Sym Jet, 91 ZZR250, 03 NSR125R. Present: 97 ER-5.

Well Gaz bought the TZR125. Its a tidy bike.
Needs the fork seals doing and a new front tyre. But other than that its cool. Had a top end rebuild about 300 miles ago. So its barely run in.
reason I question the reliability of 2 strokes is from my scootay days. fair doos my scooter was tuned to the bollocks. But it did break down once a week!
Picking the bike up Sunday. Looking forward to some summer ride outs. More and more of my mates are going 2 wheels now! |

Hi
I hate to think of the number of 150+ mile journeys I did on my MBX125 (and that was derestricted with an Allspeed exhaust and S&B filter). When I moved to Nottingham I was going back down to Portsmouth most weekends on it.
And I didn't stick cruising at 60 either. Indicated 80+ most of the time.
Blew it up once doing that. Teach me for fitting a new cheap pattern piston.
All the best

My only advice is to take lots of spare 2T oil and a few sparkplugs plus the tools required to change it.
My TZR goes through a sparkie every 120-150 miles or so, so it's best not to risk getting caught short.

I do. Managed 600 miles in 14 months just gone. It's spent more time greenlaning this year than anything else.
CBA to sell it, CBA to buy anything else.

Atleast with the lack of use the engine rebuilds have slowed down . . . ____________________ "because one stroke isnt enough and four strokes waste two" |

When I first got my NSR, (well, it was stolen after 3 weeks of ownership ) but in just over 2 and half weeks of riding, i'd clocked up just over 2000 miles And there was 1 or 2 days where I didnt ride it.
The day before it was stolen Id given it the once over, big clean, checked everything and the engine seemed sweet as a nut. Obv, was for a short time i had it, but the high mileage is what counts towards engine damage lol
I reckon it'll be good

Yup i agree with these lot,the 2t should be fine with it.
But dont expect to have too much fun if the rest of you are on 400s.
My mate has a aprillia rs125,and he keeps up fine(actually hes quicker than me) on the twisty's but if the roads have a few long straight stretches you will soon get sick of holding back waiting.
I went out today for a ride to berwick (from newcastle) and covered about 170 miles and it was great fun.If i had my m8 with me on his rs i would have been bored shitless. ____________________ DRZ-400sm |
