Hello, Basically was out on the dt and parked it. Half an hour later i returned to see a yellow substance on the floor which i believe to be coolant. It isnt oil because there is no body to it. It was only a really small amount just below where there are several overflow pipes at the swing arm. I took off the oil cap and seen the same colour of substance in the gearbox? Doesnt sound great? Its an 06 bike. Am i worrying over nothing?
Cheers
Tam

drain your oil and see if it has water in it,
does the filler cap have some white muck on it??
(from oil and water mixing)
how the water would get into the gear box of a 2 stroke is beyond me,
i would have said it was almost impossible,
i d say you have nothing to worry about,
but it is worth doing a oil change before winter any way Very Happy
may as well do a radiator fl;ush and change the coolant while your at it Very Happy

... busted water pump seals, but then there's usually drain between the water and oil seals to stop that happening. So unlikely but not impossible.

However, very unlikely indeed on a newish bike. Sounds more like the coolant boiled over after you stopped the engine and chucked a bit out of the overflow/breather. Check the coolant levels in both the radiator and the expansion bottle (when the engine is cold). Coolant is slippery but thin, and has a peculiar smell, you should be able to distinguish it from oil easily enough.
