faulty helmet1?!??!!?

ok i just bought a new helmet.. and its kinda like a buckle strap and a popper.

and the problem is the helmet wont do up properly cus the buckle is erm.. i cant really explain its weird

i think the buckles the wrong way round idk...

Go through the both of them, then come back over and through the first and your done.

If yours has the "popper" attach the strap on to it.

And make sure the strap is not twisted while you do it.

Also fear the old jeep seat.

D rings are awesome, they dont undo on you, the dont loosen off. there is a reason why all the good manufacturers are going back to them you know.

I did hear a rumour, no idea how true it might be, that only d ring lids were going to be allowed on tracks next year.

I prefer D rings to "seatbelt" types. Only problem with min is the popper came off so I now have a long flapping bit of webbing with a nice hard lump of plastic on the end. Makes a very loud crack when the wind catches it and it hits the helmet.

I couldn't work it out when I first bought it. Rode home from the bike shop with it basically tied on, then looked at a jacket with rings on to work out WTF was going on with it.

Cut the excess off the strap, use a red hot piece of hacksaw blade and it seals the ends and stops fraying.

Edit, do not do this if you Mrs or Mom are in the house as it stinks like hell and makes a lot of smoke.

D rings are much better! Fine it's hard to put on sometimes when wearing gloves but adjust perfectly and can't break like stupid clips. I bet a hard crash could break the clipins

i prefer the d-ring, adjustable everytime you wear it, so dont have to take it off and reset it depending on how thick neck wear i am wearing at the time.

alays had d ring, wouldnt have anything else.

Always use D rings.

Whenever I go minimoto racing for a laugh they always give you the seatbelt ones and you have to stand there and adjust them at least 3 times before they "fit" faff!
