Riding home tonight and a white sports Merc wanted to join the traffic at a T junction from my right. He used the technique of crossing half the carriageway and nosing in front of me to try and make me give way ( there was of course nothing behind me) As he closed the gap I opened her up and caused him to break. The fact he was now behind me did not please him so I slowed down to a walking pace and slowed him down a bit more, I am 50 so this may explain why I could not hear him banging on the horn but I have no excuse for not noticing him flashing his headlamps.
After a couple of hundred meters I indicated to turn right (Stuck hand out). He was still on my arse and as I did my lifesaver ( they help you get to 50) I saw him cut the corner and turn right forcing his way in front of me.
The route he was taking was not a way most car drivers go so I took it that he was making it personal and had altered his route to cut me up and gain that precious car length on me, the road he had turned onto ( St Benedict's in Small Heath, Brum) has a series of four big speed bumps on it. He gunned it a braked hard for the first bump. He gunned it again and so did I he braked hard and so did I.
We both gunned it but by now I knew his style and I knew he would leave three foot clearance between the cars on our right and himself so balls to it I just wound the flywheels up and hit the speed bump very fast, he was watching me in his mirror as I lunged past and only braked very late, in fact when he hit the brake I was already in mid air standing on the foot rests and I still heard the crunch of sump hitting concrete speed bump over the top of an un-silenced engine.
I went back the same way half an hour latter, he was sat in the Merc presumably waiting for the RAC, there were bits of white plastic in the road.
If you are reading this brother.... You were owned and to make things worse you were owned by a 50 year old on a 68 year old bike Mr. Green

It makes me laugh when the boy racers round here have to go over speed bumps and have to slow down to walking pace. Laughing

I once saw a stretch limo get stuck on one, they had to unload the bride and bridesmaids from the back to get the suspension back up. They were all on the porkie side.

At least Ewan and Charlie would have had a camera crew on hand to film it... Whistle

Nah, they would have re-enacted it when the light was better in a different town and used a stunt double on a BSA and gave all the money (except their wages) to some fictional charity. Mr. Green

Like you say, usually better to let things like this go.

But there's the times where you just think "Feck this" Twisted Evil

Karma at work methinks.

Then they would have got to where they were going after being helped by everybody, along with the film crew, fully paid up support crew (in the obligatory free vehicles with all the free tools), doctor and advisors on their free bikes and sat all smug and come out with a priceless belter such as 'I hope this encourages everyone else to do it'

Yeah right, I'll just sell my house, my car, my first born, any surplus major organs, and maybe do two or three drug runs for the cartel and I might be lucky to hit cape town with only a small mountain of debt and no recognition.

What were we talking about again? Confused

Nice one.

I did the same on a 125 except it was a police bike that smashed its sump to bits. (Police training gets you far when you let it get personal) Laughing

I got into school this morning and was greeted by some year 10 boys wanting to know if it was true that I had raced a Merc and made it crash, it seems that there were a couple of our kids at the kebab shop on the road and they had heard my bike coming down the hill and saw the whole thing.
I went home the same way tonight and followed behind a car re-running things in my head, all I can say is that the Adrenalin must have been up as the gap I overtook in is very small and I must have given it as much commitment as I remembered doing.
