basically i bought an engine for the kmx off ebay a few weeks ago. fitted it into the bike and it vibrates loads and the main bearings are shot. it was advertised as "runs sweet as a nut" and "very good condition" but the guy is having none of it, ive no reason to lie im not giving you your money back i cant see inside the engine

FFS you dont even have to see inside the engine, just listen to the fucking loud bottom - end rattle and if ya wanna be real technical, take the alternator cover off (5 uncovered screws) and you can move the bearing up+down+ in + out. and my money is your reason to lie!

FFS i hate ebay Sad

Report him to ebay. He described it as a good motor not as Caviat Emptor.

sorry to hear that, i had the opposite experience, the NSR engine i bought is sweet, new rebuild with 3k gearbox. The bloke was great, wrote a massive description on installing it and running it in. didnt need it but was great service. But like you i have had bad experiences too with ebayers. bit hit and miss sometimes. Rolling Eyes

Only sweet nut i know is a sugared Almond... And anything looking or sounding like one of them i would not want in a engine...

As you bought it a few weeks ago the guy would have fair reason to suspect that it has happened since it left his possesion.

The discription he has used means nothing. You need to question further so you get clear answers in decent english about the engine condition.
Such as what condition are the main berings etc. If he says they are all A1 then you have some grounds for a complaint, other than that its buyer beware on anything you cannot hear running.

As a point how much did you pay for it ??

You say you have done a Paypal dispute?

Did he ship it to you or did you pick it up?
