Seems a waste to not pickup some half price biker kit (jackets, pants etc.) when in New York.

I see there's a load of main dealers, Ducati, Yamaha etc. but all the good UK/Euro brands Hein gericke, Rukka, Alpinestars etc seem to be missing.

Anyone recommend a good place to buy bike stuff in NY?

Just be aware of this.....

If they do search us I doubt I'll get away with claiming we took it with us - tho could always get a NY cab to drag me around in the kit to achieve that well worn look Wink

Just look for some bike dealers around NY they will sell all the gear you need. You most probably won't find any in NY city any ways. You may have to travel out side of it Laughing just grab a phone book and ring around.

You got to think as well that it's a different style of culture out here, alot of riders just rock about in jeans, a leather or textile jacket, gloves and boots (if that). For the leathers I have to go 200miles just to find my size so I can buy them online.

I have the addresses some where to some dealers that stock everything you could want. Just gotta find them in my favorites.

All the big brands are here in the US to you are obviously not looking the right place.

And just take an extra suitcase and drag it through no claims to be made. Every time I come back thats what I do Cool

We've got a packed itinerary, apart from a brief visit to Coney Island (to checkout where The Warriors was filmed Wink and Staten Island we'll be staying on Manhattan.

These are the only independent shops that seem to offer a good selection ...

If you need cheap extra suitcases to hold all your gear, nip over to chinatown and you should be able to pick up a load for about 30-40 dollars.
