No not 'when the big hand reaches the top...'

I don't have a new fangled digital dash with all the mod cons and necessities Sad

I am however conscious of that things which bugs us all...time. What methods or gadgets do you use to tell the time when out and about?

I don't wear a watch because a) It needs a new battery b) Its too chunky to go under my leathers, and c) I can't remember where it is Laughing so its the trusty mobile phone in the pocket. This is all well and good but a pain in the chuff to get out with gloves on and is impractical if on the move in traffic.

Apart from getting a shitty little thing that sticks to the dash with a sticky tab, anyone got any solutions?

My bike has a handy, backlit LCD clock just above the rev counter.

Otherwise it is the mobile phone. On my other bikes without a clock, I put my mobile in a plastic bag in the clear map pocket on my tank bag. I can see the time and I can see if anyone has called/sms messaged me.

I don't wear a watch because I spend every moring sticking my hand up cows backsides and I'd loose it.

I use the shadows of the cars to deduce the time.

...Nah, Laughing I don't tend to worry about the time. "I get there when I get there" is what I tell myself. But there is loads of clocks around London anyway, so normally give a quick glance as I ride passed it. Thumbs Up

I rarely care when I'm on the bike, I'm notoriously a bad time keeper.
If I really need to then I use the one my daughter got me for my keyring.

636 has a digital clock (very swish too, along with lap timer), and SZR has a couple of quid rubber strapped watch which does the job.

Nah, its for the ride to work. Although I'm sure that even in heavy traffic I'd still make it on time, it'd be nice to know just how fast I have to filtrer to get there Wink

I have a digital clock on my bike, only use though if I am meeting someone at a particular time, otherwise I go out for a ride and get back when I reach home!!

Either my PDA with GPS Dash running, or my cheap £3 digital watch velcroed to either my bars or my tankbag.

I stopped wearing a watch around 5 years ago and since that time have developed a similar knack. It can be a little unnerving from time to time.

On topic I've got a digi dash so time is easy. On previous bikes I used my internal body clock....

You can get velcro clocks for push bikes which stick nicely on your dash somewhere from Halfords. Thumbs Up

Looked similar to that.

Never worn a watch in my life, one gets to sense the time. I go to work when it feels right and am consistantly five mins late.
