Although the sound man does need a kick, Bruce's vocal were brilliant in the quiet bits but could barely be heard in the loud bits.

Stand out tracks - Paschendale (they really went to town with it), Dance of Death (even if one of the guitarists did drop a note or 2), Run to the Hills, and Journey Man (brilliant acoustic song).

Bruce had a rant at Kerrang! magazine(like normal), and ripped up the copy that they should of been on the cover of.

Even Eddie got in with the music - he was playing Janick's geetar to Number of the Beast.

Their next gig is on Saturday in Sheffield. I suggest you northeners go and see them.

Only criticism (apart from the sound) is the cost of merchandise - £20 for a short sleeve T-Shirt - thats up around £5 from what I paid at Download for one.

Bendy - while I remember... You know how you keep asking me for 5p every time I sing a random Iron Maiden lyric in IRC - have you paid the £137 you owe them for the line in your signature?

Shame, as if id known i woulda probably gone to see them at Nottingham. I liked Iron Maiden for a while in me skool years, and it would of been good to hear them play again. If the truth be told i like GNR and Metallica even more, and now its unlikely, but id really like to them them play live again! The gool ol days lol!

My friend Dan went to the nottingham one. Nicko McBrain chucked his drumsticks into the crowd and he managed to get one, it has Nicko McBrain inscribed on it in Iron Maiden font. He said it was an excellent show but the backup group were utter shite and were booed off stage.

No problem with parking.

The best and cheapest place is at the bottom of our road. It's about a ten minute walk from the CIA, otherwise there is a multistory which would probabaly cost around £10 for the evening, and then it'll take you half an hour to get off it at the end, which is opposite the CIA.

Both James and I will be around on Monday, so if you need directions or anything just give either of us a call. I'll pm you my number and James' (though he can be a little useless with directions sometimes!).
