Last weekend while washing my bike, I snapped off a stupid tiny bit of plastic from the underside of the front fairing.

This stupid bit of plastic holds, well, held, the front left and right panels together underneath.

The bit that came off is only about one inch square with a whole through the middle to bolt the two panels together.

Does anyone have any tips on how to repair it or should I just bodge it with thick black gaffer tape, I mean, it is underneath so no one will see it but id like a more permanent solution if possible.

Its now vibrating about a bit and I want to do something about it before I make it worse.

Cheers
PJ

Araldite the mix it yourself stuff? Would it be strong enough to hold two pieces together end to end?

I have, the thickness of the fairing by about an inch wide.

Aah, it'll be right, just stick it and then back it up with gaffer tape, If your going to bodge, do it properly Smile

Araldite is indeed te stuff you mix yourself. Its damn strong as well, and as there won't be much pressure on it it should hold.

drill a small hole in each of the plastics near the edge. then get a cable tie and tie them together. they are good because:
1. they are reallt cheap
2. they are as safe as houses
3. because when you need to take the plastics off you can easily just snip the cable tie then put another one on
4. u cant see them!!!
Very Happy

Or you could just stop being a tight arse your self and go spend 60 pence on a pack (I actually use them for wrapping network cables together in my house but they can be very useful but I didn't really need to say that did I.)
