Thats really odd that CoD4 runs slower than Crysis for you, CoD4 is far far less system intensive by a huge margin. Worth tinkering around with drivers if you ask me, the single player is well worth running though Thumbs Up

If the card wasnt getting enough power in terms of plugging in, it would complain on start-up. What PSU do you have? Might be falling short of power for your system when under high load.

Could be the PSU. £30 isnt exactly a lot of money for a 500W. I paid £100 for me 600W.

Whats the amps on the 12v rail?

Corsair are pretty good. The thing with PSU's isnt the wattage, but the 12v rail amp output. The 12v rail is the main power used for CPU and GFX card so the more amps on it the better. You can have a cheap 600W PSU that has less amps on the 12v rail than an expensive 400W, so its worth spending as much as you can for your PSU.

I recommend something like this: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-021-EN&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=111

I have used Enermax for several years in different computer builds and I am very happy with them. They are a bit on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for. I run my current system with a 600W Enermax Noisetaker and its very stable and I have also run 2 x 7800gt's in SLI with the same model PSU in the past also with no problems. It will run my system currently with a 8800GTS at full load for hours with no crashes. It might be a little more power than you are looking for, but its worth it in case you decide to use SLI/Crossfire in the future or just for when more powerful cards come out.

Just for your reference, the 600W Enermax Noisetaker I linked you too has 36A on the 12v rail and the 8800GT is recommended 18A-24A max load and 24A-32A for SLI, so you have plenty left over.

Corsairs customer service is second to none, 5 year warranty.

OCZ are also very good.

Especially customer Service.

I got sent a Duff £50 OCZ StealthXstream PSU, told them and they replaced it with a £120 GameXstream 850W jobby no questions asked, with a pretty little blue LED and everything. Laughing

Meanwhile, back in the game...

I just caught a Korean soldier taking a piss against a tree when he should have been looking for me.

Shocked

Top game though. Thumbs Up
