Hello, not posted on here in ages, but this is a good place to ask those strange questions.

The thing is, my nose, its always either completely blocked, running like a tap, or blocked and running like a tap at the same time, along with the odd sneezing fit.

Does anybody know why this could be?

I have tried various nasal sprays but they dont work, just make it worse, and besides, its as if my nose rebels against it.

Any body else have/had the same problems, or know what I should do.

Id go and see my doctor but shes crap. I wait 2 hours for my appointment, and when I go in, she always asks me to piss in a bottle.

Thanks in advance,

Ash

Sounds like an allergy to something. The Doc's is probably the only place to go, then get referred to a specialist.

P.S. take some piss in a bottle with you. Thumbs Up

Friend of mine has allergies so bad the same she has to get an operation, hot poker up the nose to open the nasel passages again, nothing helps her. Has to wash all her cloths in 60 degrees to kill dust mites and takes fits of sneezing here due to my pets. Its looks a horrible thing to have.

You tried any allergy tabs? sometimes they help.

^^^ Yeah... try some over-the-counter anti-histamines and see what happens. If it does the trick, at least you'll know it's an allergy, then you've got to find out what's causing it...

Could simply be anatomical. My sinuses are shite, can't get a decent volume of air through them. My brothers are even worse. they treated him for asthma for years before they realised it was actually that his nose was too narrow and the wheezing was due to mucous dripping down the back of his throat as a result.

They landed up drilling a hole up there somewhere.

To me this explains why I have always been totally shite at sports. It also explains why, despite having given up smoking for over a week now, I feel no different. It wasn't the smoking that was the limiting factor, fact is, I can only breathe in a certain, fairly low volume of air through my nose in a given time. If I try to breath any harder, my nose collapses and makes it worse.

Riding a bike through the winter doesn't necessarily help in terms of bogeys narrowing things further. I generally find I get either one nostril or the other, I can't recall ever having been able to breathe normally through both at once.

Yes but colin almost all colds only linger for up to 10 days.
Generally speaking.

I want to see my doctor about the fact i keep colds for over a month. Which is a shit as i bounce from feeling fine to sniffly to phlegmy repeatedly over the course of a day. And it leaves me very lethargic.

And its a serious bastard when im training. Whenever i used to go boxing towards the end id start a session fine, within a minute or two id be sniffing. Repeated trips to blow your nose kinda kill sessions. And also if you're training hard and then your normal breathing routine is severely hampered you start to feel faint and weak (or i do).

Ended up SLAMMING off a treadmill at highspeed the other day cos of that Laughing Not fun. That'll learn me to rest my eyes for 'just a second'
