My 14 year daughter was watching this on VH1 when I came home from work this evening. I found the whole thing repulsive. I can't even begin to think why the parents would want to subject this on their 6 year old daughters is just sick. I bet all the kiddie fiddlers love these sort of things.

If the kids enjoy doing it, I personally can't see anything wrong with it.

Very creepy, they might enjoy it now but later in life?

What kind of message does it send, what kind of precedent does it set?

I'd rather bump into a bearded knife wielding tramp than that shower in a dark alley...

Reminds me of that film with Christopher Reeve... Village or the Damned I think it was...

Shocked

Disgusting. It robs kids of their childhood and sexualises innocence.
The parents may say it is just fun but we all know there are guys wanking over this stuff.

That sort of thing has been going on for years. The parents spend thousands getting their little girls ready for these pageants. Somebody mentioned the teeth? Take a look at ordinary USA TV shows, all the kids have perfect teeth. (unless it's in the script not to) There was a high profile case a couple of years ago when one of these pageant girls was murdered, JonBenét Patricia Ramsey, only six at the time. Personally I think these types of shows can encourage pedophiles and other sorts of pervs. What the hell are the parents thinking?

Was not the father the prime suspect in the JonBenét case but was he not proved to be as innocent as O J Simpson?

See "Little Miss Sunshine" for an amusing take on 'the scene'.
I approached it with very low expectations and was pleasantly suprised.

Pisses me of this, for a start they look like bratz dolls. This has been going on for years, anyone remember Jon Bonette i think her name was she was murdered and was one of them pageant kids. Most have their hair bleached and dental work done. I don think its right to pout a kid though that. Parents are ruining them its disgusting.

Not so good when you're watching it on an Archos and happen to be at the Gym when that bit came on.

I think I decided to watch something else before someone caught a sideways glance at it and decided to call the police Neutral.
