I am currently looking at an NC30 its a 1992 here are the specs

Mileage is 27,000Kms = 16,000
Speedo has an MPH dial fitted
Its got new chain and sprocket, Renthal Sprockets and Tsubaki 520 chain,
with modified gearing, 14T on the front and 42T on the rear. looses some of
top end, but gets better acceleration.
Bridgestone BT090's fitted. Awesome tyre.
PFM cast iron rotors, improves the braking no end.
Optimate charger is included.
Just replaced a whole load of fastners on it that had gone manky. Honda
fastners aint cheap!! £30 for replacent screws!!!
Has an Art can fitted, gives a nice noise. Original can is available. But
the Art one passes the MOT which is good.just been MOT`d and taxed for 12 months

he wants £1100 is this a fair price the only problem is the fairing replacement although I ahve managed to source original honda graphics for this panel for £52 Smile

Makes you wonder why it needed new front disks before 16k... unless it was a tart owner of course.

for £1100 thats a good bike, go to view it and get him to turn it on, if he starts it with no choke tell him to kill it and ask to see the paper work and a brew and waste 20- 30 mins to let the engine cool down propperly, now ask him to start it again, it should need to start on the choke, listen for knocks, ticks, anything that shouldnt be there other than an exhaust note. check the pipes for holes give it a few revs to listen for knocks etc.
if it does knock kick £200 off the price, bargain!!!
i'd say if it wore down the discs in 19K that mph converter was fitted a long time ago. am sure that can is an arrow too lol.

If it looks that good in the daylight, plus works as it should, looks like a reasonable buy.

Check for cracks and other signs of wheelie damage. It sounds like he like to wheelie.

Check the collector boxes (and indeed the whole exhaust) for rust,

Check the disks aren't warped

Check the regulator

Check the front wheel for dings,

Check the forks for leaks

check the head bearings

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.
