Well. Today, I installed OSX on my PC.

Running under VMWare, good god it runs slowly, but it's proof of concept that it works on my hardware, and I can install it natively if I so choose.

So for those of you that like OSX but don't fancy forking out tons of money just because the plastic bits are white then consider www.osx86project.org

I've got dual monitors, and this means I can have OSX full screen on one monitor, and XP on the other. Sadly the mouse gets trapped in the OSX side of the window so I can't take a screenshot of how cool it looks.

So you'll have to make do with a tiny view of it running within a VMWare window.

Been running 10.4.9 as a curiousity on my laptop for a while, sadly there is no viable 3945abg chipset support for wifi so it's a little pointless for me (buggered if Im going to buy a PCMCIA wireless card just to mess around with). The osx86 project is definitely a cool toy though.

On the subject of OSs, intalled ubuntu 7.10 the other day. Seriously impressed. I think my windows partition may finally be dead (makes sense if I'm wiping osx off as well...) Running a full screen video on one cube face, World of Warcraft in another and GIMP and a web browser/chat windows in the final two with no slow down on rotation and the ability to seamlessly flick between workspaces. I was quite astounded, this is a low end core 2 duo laptop with only a gig of ram Shocked

In OSX you can do windows key + alt + 3 and a screenshot will be saved to the desktop. Thumbs Up

I've not tried it but you should be able to install it natively to a partition using these instructions.

I wanted windows to do the screenshot really then it'll capture both monitors.

And I've used ubuntu as my only operating system for about 6 months before, it's definitely good enough to use every day. The only thing I missed was photoshop. I really didn't get on with GIMP.
