Title says it all really. English football team, management, directors are the biggest bunch of overpaid self important tossers ever. Have been dillusional since 1966 (which was a blip).

I'm don't care if you don't reply - I've vented my spleen (full of cheap beer).

I support Arsenal and I'm glad we have no core of English players.

This is one of the more worrying things I've heard on this board, to be honest!

So, who elts is calling for steve mclarens blood?

Ok, we played absolute utterly shit, but this has to go back to the manager, his stupid idea of playing weaker players, and changing the "system" to 4-5-1.

i knew it wouldnt work with crouch up front. OK he is lanky and will almost always win in the air, but all he did fr the first half was head it on...to no-one but croatian defenders!

the minute we went 2-0 down, we should have gone back to 4-4-2 and got the regular players that are fit onto the pitch. We wasted a good half an hour in the first half because we didnt tactically change.

We were lucky to get the first goal, frank was composed, but the offence was by no means harsh, and the ref could have easily waved his finger and said no!

Crouch's goal was good tho, nice chest into a voley.

Then we went defensive again, like the first half, letting the croatian players run all over us again, up until they scored, when we started to push again.

Scott Carson had a poor game, he must have been nervous as hell, and it showed, he made three big mistakes, all leading up to goals.

I cant help but think it goes back down to mclaren and his inability to manage and play the best team.

I'd like to see mclarens' resignation/ sacking by midnight, purely for the amusement factor and to show the FA do really give a shit about where this country's football is heading.

Mourinho is a well respected manager, i would like to see him in control, but i bet he would not take the "opportunity" - why shoould he - he was nearly 2 years of uncompetitive football ahead of him if he does.

because england are supposably one of the best teams in the world (on paper, not tonight, but the man squad) and we cant even qualify for euro 2008!

To be honest, the last few years in english football have been a disaster!

if you look at players from other teams, they play together, its like they are synchronised, england only seem to synchronise every so often!

Seconded, And didn't Eduardo play well Laughing

This does make me think how well Sven did, when we were all slating him. I think we took qualifying for granted back then.

Not at all.

He has improved English football.

He has shown that the current England squad (along with his poor tactics) are not good enough, and a complete squad rebuild is needed.

The current england squad, bar the injury's is about as good as it is going to get!

Pure and simple, better manager, so better tactics can be implemented, and most importantly MORE training.

I cant help but think the england squad look like they have just met together an hour previously, and are then playing an important game.

The team needs to gel. The players we have are good enough to win the world cup - they are just not playing to their best because they dont play together on a regular basis. the likes of lampard, gerrard, beckham - players from world class teams - but when they get on pitch playing in the same shirt, they seem confused and bewildered.

More training is needed at national level, rather than rotating player every match, have a good, strong set of players who play together fairly regularly atleast that way they will eventually get used to the game they should be playing!

Right there, displayed by that attitude is the real reason England are so bad. The players believe themselves to be better than they are, the fans, media & management all go along with it, In short England have forgotten the basics of how to win at this game, ie teamwork.

Maybe its about time the English, in the cold light of day, after yet another failure, stop and actually listen to what everyone else has been telling them for years in the world of football. England will not win a major tournement in my lifetime unless they learn some humilty & give respect to their opponents. The English National game will slide further into the doldrums unless they get a grip on the number of foreign players in their Premiership.

Crouch was Englands best player last night, he did everything he was asked to do, however using Cole & WP as runners to his flick ons was a bad move, Cole should have played in the hole or Defoe should have played alongside Crouch.

Anyway, maybe we'll get to see the Home Nations and ROI have their own tourney now Thumbs Up

Does this mean that the European sign of the tosser won't be flown from cars and white vans next year? Arse. It used to make it so easy to spot the mongs to avoid when out on the road.

Who fvcking cares? What possible difference or importance can it mean to your life? It's a game, played by a bunch of strangers, and means A.B.S.O.L.U.T.E.Y N.O.T.H.I.N.G.

Enjoy it for what it is, a display, sure. But to care about who wins or loses? I really don't get it. Can somebody explain this phenomena to me? Can somebody give me one intelligent reason why it matters? Confused

Hahaha!! It's 11am and I am still blissfully unaware of the score from the 'game' last night. This thread made me chuckle though so I can guess the result. I think. Might go and check with a 'sports' news website sometime later on. Or maybe tomorrow?

Football=bunch of pansies. Thumbs Up
