From the same government that brought you the Iraq War, the loss of 25 million people's personal details, and a generation of criminal youths, comes the next installment in the series.

ID Cards.

That's right! For just the cost of your personal privacy and identity, YOU TOO can join the ID Card scheme, and help make your country safe from the 2000 home-grown terrorists which Labour are not-in-any-way-responsible for. With the new improved ID card scheme, government fuck-ups on the scale like we've seen recently will be a thing of the past. Yes, with the new ID Card Scheme, Britain can be prepared to make another step into the nanny-state that we all need to keep ourselves safe from ourselves.

- Your government will never use your personal information irresponsibly.*
- Your government will never give out your personal information to corperations for the right price.*
- Your government will never put your personal information in the hands of inexperienced junior staff.*
- Your government will always have your best interests at heart, and hold it's hands up to mistakes it's made.*

* Not guaranteed.

Remember everyone, this is not our country. It's the governments. We're not smart enough to look after ourselves, and it's a damned good thing that we have good, responsible, honest people like politicians to do it for us.

So, what do you need to do to help bring the ID cards into the system? Absolutely nothing!

That's right! Absolutely nothing! As part of Labours 10 year super-duper-deal for Britain, you needn't do anything at all to bring in the new scheme. You can just carry on sitting where you are, right now, and they'll come in before you know it. Referendums? Elections? Things of the past. The future is in dictatorship.

Labour.
YOU CAN TRUST US.

DISCLAIMER: The Labour Government accepts no responsibility for anyone killed, maimed, disfigured or disabled, mentally or physically, either by terrorist actions, or service in the armed forces.

I'm liking you. A lot. Thumbs Up

My favourite line:

"Remember everyone, this is not our country. It's the governments."

Now ain't that just the truth. I'd like to add:

You are not your's, you're the government's.

Wake up slaves.

No data loss on such a scale won't happen again ,

an EVEN bigger scale loss will occur instead of 50% 100% of the population,

It does however beggar belief that labour are still on 35% in the polls , some people really are thick.

I can't believe people still support this government.

Though I hear much more murmuring amongst people at their pure disgust at the government. Even people with no interest in politics are beginning to hate the situation Britain is in.

As much as I dislike the French, their striking action is bloody brilliant. Thumbs Up Laughing

Up the revolution!

A large number of the population just vote for the same party. Whether that is because they are a member, or even just that their parents voted for it and if it was good enough for them......

And remember very nearly half the population is of below average intelligence Wink .

All the best

Strange these things that do that, how they blindly follow on election after election voting the same way, yet winger all the time how crap they are....

For gods sake use you brain and vote for the group that will do best by you.... Not that any will, they all change their tune once in power.

I really do think it should be compulsory to vote. That way we stand a chance of getting somewhere. Rather than now where the group on power had less votes than the rest put together.

I dunno there are some good things that come from dictatorships, as it allows you to plan well ahead, so like while Labour and Tory are only interested in short term gain (so they get the credit) it doesn't do any good for the country , and you don't have to worry about getting re-elected.

Look at China one party government and in 17 years has over taken us as an economy.

The problem is one of beneviolence , and the greek problem , power is incredibly easy to hand out nearly impossible to take back see Musharif who doesn't want to give up the reigns of power.

Ok, who should I vote for?
Tories? Even worse.
Labour? Essentially tories with their privatisation and pandering to the big companies over society
Lib Dems? Who even knows what the hell is going on there?

I like the idea of Dan 4RR's picture... vote Socialist Alliance. I like to think of myself as being socialist, but not in a 'feel free to sit on your arse all day' way. Labour's sold itself down the river too. We are all just pawns on a giant chess board in which every country is competing against the next for what seems like just being rated #1 economy, rather than #1 living standards.

Nothing to do with the political system.

More to do with having a workforce of over 1 billion, vast lands, little in the way of working laws nor rights, child labour, the fact they ain't pussies. etc.

It does, politicians here have to pander to public opinion and they worry about taking decisions for the greater good which are unpopular, and always seek to build projects at 4-5 year intervals such that they can get the kudo's of such a project and get the photo ops, they defo do not want to build a grandiose project and have an opposition MP after the election stand in front of it and claim the credit for it.

That is part of it yes but my main point was that dictatorships get things done, check out the UK how many new roads can you name? ,

I can only think of the M6 Toll road,

While I visited Shanghai in the early 90s, I went back there in 03 as part of my walkabout. And my had it changed, while in the UK to build a by pass takes decades, you have to put it to consultation then tender it then hear objections then you have to dig out people like swampy , then you build it.

China you just evict the people give them some money as compo and build it.

In our voting system any vote not for the big 3 is a wasted vote.

Me?

Tories, based on the fact that they are less authoritarian, example in point in the 90s Michael Howard considered ID cards, a policy document stated that they would be unpopular , ineffective and not cost effective, the issue went away.

NL ID card reviews come up with similar conclusions, they decide to go ahead with it anyway, I notice how Blunkett wrote a letter stating that ID cards are even more necessary, ever checked his register of MPs interests? , seem kind of close to ID cards no?.

Also general other things such as NL are worst of both worlds ie increased taxes AND cuts at the same time, I notice in '96 the Bury area had 5 Hospitals it now has 3.

And thus they are the best of a very bad bunch of scum, oh and probably that prisons were alot worse, al la the strangeways riot

have a read here

https://www.parliament.the-stationery-office.com/pa/cm200001/cmhansrd/vo010207/halltext/10207h05.htm

70% over crowding 23h a day locked up 3 to a cell one shower a week , slopping out was normal,

Just as it should be.

How I see mr brown Laughing

As for this compulsary ID bollocks I for one wont be signing up for it, they can stick me in the slammer if they wish...

I know it sounds awful but I think this planet needs another mass extinction event, to rid these power hungry world leaders of any control whatsoever.

I'd be quite content on having to hunt for my dinner (I watch Ray Mears Thumbs Up ) and it'd be nice to see all those dole bums and career mums up shit creek.

Just to clarify this I wouldnt wish this on 95% of bikers, only the goldwing riders and harley riders Laughing

ah but thats where they have been Smart ID cards carry a £1000 civil penalty (proposed) fopr not having one and a £5000 civil penalty for not notifying a change of address.

HMRC from 2009 is expected to get powers to take fines/penalties from your bank directly and they can adjust your PAYE coding notice to take up to 50% of your wages anyway, there was this silly sod who forgot to declare his tax , they gave him a K1700 code which was the biggest I have ever seen , (it effectively means that you have negative 17000 of tax allowances).

If those ID cards come into effect, the population of the UK will drop overnight. It will be the final straw for many people! Especially seen as though living within the EU is now so easy.

Boom, I'd be straight off to Austria / Germany!
