For some reason this is showing up as spam and im not sure why, if any of you guys want pics of the chain I have a couple of lengths here I can send you pics of.

Hi guys, I work for a chain manufacturer and for the past 100 and odd years we have been selling security chain to all the big bike chain suppliers who then forward them on to the public and other places like specialist bike chain suppliers for a huge profit, we have some obsolete security chain in stock a few hundred of them in fact, what I would like to know is if any of you guys would be interested in any of this chain, I have placed a add on eBay selling some but I was also interested to know is any of you would be interested in saving a huge amount of money.

you would be buying the chain from me so the would be no come back to the company because they are not selling it as it is a obsolete item in our catalogue that as just been sitting in our warehouse for a couple of years now. The only problem is that this chain does not come with any protective sleeving but you can easily get sleeving to fit from various manufacturers we sell it for about £2 per metre so its not a great amount.

Check out the below e Bay item to see my eBay add, dont worry you dont have to buy it from eBay if you dont want to, you dont even have to pay that price if you dont want to just make me a offer, I am just posting the link to save typing the description out again and adding the pics on here.

Item no. 300174029964

Come on guys 27 views and no comments the gaffer at work gave this chain to me to sell and I could keep 50% of what I got for it, the other option was to weigh it in at a scrappie but I think that would just be a huge waste for perfectly good chain, thats why I am trying to offer it to people like you that will have every day use for it.

A bolt cutter would cut through that chain like it was butter, would rather pay more for a Almax chain

lol might as well use cable ties to secure my bike with. I`m sure any chain worth £20 is going to be pretty useless.

My opinion.

There is a man going by the name of Zanx also known as Captain Cropper (https://www.youtube.com/user/CaptainCropper) who reckons he can crop anything under 16mm. Is he talking bollox?

Is your 13mm better than the almax 16mm? Does size matter with chains to, is bigger always better?

Size does matter yes, and my 13mm will not be as durable as Almax's 16mm because it is smaller but you will also not be paying Almax prices I am asking for about £20 compared to there £200 - £300.

You made the classic mistake of saying trust me , nobody trusts anybody who says trust me.

Well obviously, no point buying a chain if you can cut through it with plastic scissors.

The reason people will buy an almax is they know its quality. Where as you may supply almax with their chain but how do we know this isn't just dodgey chain off the market?

Like I said we dont supply Almax anymore and we also dont make this chain anymore unless requested by a customer, but there are more things to worry about when picking security chain than just thinking about bolt croppers.

like what? , as said chain attaches bike to various railings , a handy cutting tool = croppers , it can't survive a big crop hit = worthless,

except maybe to a opportunitist who happens to find a bike unchained and wheels it off.

I've come up against the best 13mm chains on the market and NONE repeat NONE have put up more than a 60 second fight against 42" croppers. I guarantee I will crop your chain. Not saying your chain isn't good for a 13mm chain but suggesting it's even remotely cropper proof is misleading and irresponsible.
