I've thought of the ultimate chain test,

guy says chain is uncroppable right,

so have him stick his knob inside one of the links,

then have somebody try and crop it.

Bet he'll soon backtrack on his uncroppable claims.

Thats true I suppose, no chain is really un-croppable if you get a cropper big enough and spend enough time you will cut it its like everything in life nothing is 100% secure and theft proof all we can do is try to deter theifs with a visual security devise and also make it take as long as possible for the thief to try and nick your valubles.

Just had a look at the eBay auction, I might be wrong but that chain looks awfully similar to the overhardened and embrittled 13m chain that Squire bought a warehouse full of and that I cropped on ITV's London Programme in 10 seconds or so. There is a LOT to shift I believe.

If it's the same stuff, I'd rather have an Oxford Monster TBH but for the money, it seems like a reasonable deal, just don't depend on it too much.

Alot has changed in the last 3 years, you can't say something is uncroppable if it's not because I'll be there with witnesses and several video cameras to disprove it.

That's not actually true, if you take the biggest available croppers and design a chain to break them, then you've done a good job. Unfortunately this means that only 16mm+ chains are cropper proof, however, the 16mm Oxford isn't. There are SOME very good 13mm chains but they can still be cropped.

its not the same stuff because it was manufactured by us, but I will try and cut it tomorrow and see what happens. Bear in mind that this chain is 13mm so its not going to be has good as the 16mm that people keep refering to from Almax but for £20.

Well, to be "as good" in one sense, it only needs to be able to break 42" Record bolt croppers with a 17st thug on the end, not Machine Mart, not Clarke, Records, the pikey tools of the trade. I've tried lesser croppers and they bend. Have a shufty at these vids for the right technique.

Yeah sorry guys this chain is no longer available as it as been tried and tested before and it can be cut with a bolt cropper also what I said about Almax above about bad payment was a mistake, sorry guys.
