I'd have to agree with Tony...I reckon that Beckham is a class player an' all, but I thought that he was the poorest (in terms of form, not money!) player in an England shirt yesterday...but I won't say that he was $hit: everyone played well...

...I often had to ask the question "where's Beckham?" 'cos he was hardly ever in the right position, let alone on the ball!...but full credit to him for lasting the whole match...

If the Argies play the same way against Sweden as they did against England, then I honestly can't see them winning the game...but they should definately drop Veron for that match - he's shit!

...can't wait for the Brazil - China match!...should be a few goals...

Wahey, SA won a game, they can even QUALIFY!!!!! Blimey.... Not anyone could have scored that penalty, with the pressure and all, simeone was putting him off as he took it!!! They deserved to loose the cheating scum....

well England had do go defensive at the end cos argentina threw most of there team up field, if we didnt have enough men back they would have scored, people say it like its a bad thing, its obvious that a team like argentina arent going to lay back and wait for england to get another one (which would have happend), beckham played excellent and every member of the team did us proud, well done boys!!!![/code]

ok, maybe they did need to defend alot at the end, but defending also gave agentina more opertunities to attack, so maybe england didn't need to sub there whole team for defenders Wink

its not about choosing to defend, with 20-25 mins left of a game and 1-0 down argentina arent going to be the easiest team in the world to attack, its either swap a few players for more defensive ones or concede a goal, oh and the only defensive sub he made was with Wayne Bridge for Owen on the 80th minute, Trevor Sinclair was meant as a straight swap for Hargreaves on the 20th minute, and Teddy Sheringham was a straight swap for Heskey, so to say England swapped there whole team for defenders is wrong Wink
