I just reversed my car right back upto a wall, took my front sticky number plate off and hid my tax disc under the seat. Along with an unmarked car it was 100% unidentifiable / untraceable to a traffic warden and it survived fine for 5hours in a pay and display!

What are the legalities of this? to be fair it looked proper 'stolen and abandoned' but it worked!

Would be fun to set up a hidden camera and wait for a traffic warden to come along and not be able to write a ticket out Laughing

I must admit that is quite intuitive Laughing

Will be a bit p*ssed off when you do it next time and it has been towed off. Explain that to the police when you try and release it Mr. Green

Hmm, round here they would clamp you for being in a pay & display without a valid ticket. Confused

Is the VIN/chassis number stamped on a plate visible under the windscreen?

Usually do if it looks abandoned, probably not even seen by the wardens. Vin number is displayed under screen and you will get done for not displaying Tax as there is no excuse in a cage.

Very lucky, it could have worked out allot more expensive than a parking fine and you could have lost your car.

They were charging more than that around here before you were born. All I can think is that you're caught in some sort of time warp and you're posting from 1973. Shocked Confused

That's just because you wales lot are weird.

You can be done for not displaying a plate, not displaying road tax and then not showing a ticket. N way worth the risk, even for a laugh as it could go sour. IIRC parking warden people can to an extent make a point of seeing your reg I.E, taking a bag off it, I know what you did was different but...
