Is it true about the driving age being raised to 18? I know it wont affect me as ive already started lessons im just wondering because my sister is 14 and my dad was chatting about it.

I was just wondering when would this come into effect?

My o/h is 16 and will be 17 in febuary but she has already booked her lessons so its not for her age, maybe its for all the people that are 15 now?

Cheers.

Sorry if its a repost.

https://www.2pass.co.uk/ages.htm

We have received many questions from worried teenagers in the UK regarding rumours of the minimum driving age increasing to 18.
There are currently no such plans - so stop worrying!
If I hear of any facts on this subject I will let you know right away. More News about this

dont know how old that is though.

edit:messed up quote.

If it does come in, i dont think it will be for a while.
In fact its more likely that the eco-mentalists will have cars banned all together and we'll all be walking, because any other mode of transport made will be melting the ski slopes in scotland or something like that...

Hi

There was talk about it a couple of months back. Think they were talking about having a min length of time learning, which would effectively put the age for a full licence up.

Unlike years ago when people used to occasionaly pass their tests on their 17th birthday.

All the best

Keith

Old Thread Alert!
