Losing your shopping

Just got back from the supermarket and when I went to get off my bike, the plastic bag with my bread and crumpets wasn't on my handlebars.

Bugger I thought and retraced my ride back. About 100m from Sainsburys is my bread and crumpets lying by the side of the road with the bread driven over to shreds, but my crumpets were still in good form Smile

Anyway, has anyone ever had anything similar where something comes off your bike that you were carrying? It made me think if I had had anything else in there, or maybe 2 full bags with eggs and jogurts for example lol

Lost my wallet on the way to ASDA. Got to ASDA and thought id left it at my mates so drove back. It wasnt there so i retraced mysteps and found it lying on the floor about 50yrds away from the entrance to ASDA. Picked it up and there was nothing in it, thought it had been emptied, looked around and there were cards strewn everywhere.

Thankfully it hasnt happened yet to me. I usually tie a bag to the back rest on the pillion if my rucksack is full. Few times near happened as there where holes in the bags.

lost a bar end of my bike on the M6, but usually carry stuff in tank bag, don't lose anything then Laughing

Two reasons, mainly. The first being that hanging shopping off your handlebars would affect the handling and range of movement, and secondly how come it took you until the end of the journey to figure out it was missing? Did your seeing-eye dog nod off?

Its only a 4 minute ride. And I generally look ahead and in my mirrors / over shoulder, not down down and left. Concentrating on the job at hand 'innit Wink

And handling? My bikes not exactly a 98 R1... its just a CG125... Adding 300g to one side is nothing Smile

..lost a box of lager from the back of my first Vmax, when some chav bastids where a bit too close and I accelerated up the hill.... went back after I lost them, the whole hill/roads smelt like a brewery... I bet the front of their chavy van did as well Surprised

Gotta say I tried carrying a tub of ice cream slung over my left arm when on my 50cc scooter and that threw everything off and was pretty dangerous really..

I had my rucksack burst open on the M25 at about 90mph - lost the contents including a load of paperwork that I had to recover from the bushes & trees on the hard shoulder. Wasn't a pleasant hour's work Very Happy
