Well, as the conference season has well and truly dried up im a bit stuck for work right now.
Walking through town today and notice a job in the ARL agency window. Working at Manchester airport on the ramp, loading heavy goods in the holds of the planes. I thought it sounded like fun, so i go into the office.
The 2 girls in there are chatting away for a while until one notices me and asks if she can help, whilst covering her cleavage, ( i know that sounds a bit weird, but she had a really low cut top on, and i swear i wasnt ogling Smile ) Anyway i ask about the job.
" have you got a forklift licence"
me "No"
" yeah, well you need one. Loads of people have been in looking at that job"
ME " well, maybe you should rewrite the ad' with 'need forklift truck licence' in it"
"yeah" starts talking to her mate again. Twisted Evil Twisted Evil
What is it with people in job agencies. Its like they know the only reason you are in there is because youre out of work, so they feel free to treat you like shit.Grrrrr....

I don't mind job agencies, they kept me in work between jobs until I found my next permanent job - and that was off the back of a temporary contract I had!

Thing to do is treat them like they treat you, and if you're seriously looking for a job then make sure you register with as many agencies as you can. I was on the books of 13 different agencies at one stage, which meant I had a list of temporary jobs to choose from. Thumbs Up
