I am a commuter and there is part of my route home which is always gridlocked, so I REALLY enjoy spending 5 minutes filtering through it all when I know the cagers will still be sat there in 20 minutes time. Nice.

out accelerating chavs in their suped up uno's and fiesta's.

filtering past everyone stuck in traffic - i leave 10mins later than my mum and i always go past her a mile or so down the road!

hitting that powerband type acceleration at 7k revs and flying past cars over a ton on back country lanes.

the list is endless, i just love it.

what i hate is my crap brakes, and the starting problems im having at the moment

Filtering anytime of the day is a blast, especially if I knock the mirror of the twat who saw me comming and tried to block my path.

Not forgetting the twat's that pull out in front of you and cause you to brake. Well I just go straight past them, slow right up to about 15 mph and go on a go slow protest for about a mile that really pisses em off then I just open it up and watch the twat dissapear.

Filtering to the front of a queue, winking at the cheeky blonde in the hatchback next to me then gunning it.

Trying to beat my own times into work in the morning.

More recently filter racing or as itchy puts it ("combat filtering") other bikes and scooters through gridlocked traffic.

Getting through an open bit of road in Salford and watching the cars disappear in my mirrors.

Getting into work and appreciating a nice hot cup of tea and the radiators after freezing from commute.

Filtering is fantastic - 'playing with the traffic' is what I call it.

Practising lines and cornering.

Just the act of riding is enjoyable - be it in and out of town, up the motorway (not the best obviously), on track or on country lanes. Wherever, whenever, its always fun.

well with my old Lifan which is well gone now and since replaced with a nice honda, it used to be getting around a bend with a faulty swing arm and the back everywhere on the road. Not really that fun but was some excitement knowing i didnt come of that piece of crap. Now i have to find fun with my new bike, no wheelies i will land on my hole up the road dont fancy that.

I prefer the term "Attack Filtering" but it's essentially the same thing. Must admit I do relish the prospect of some seriously heavy filtering when you come across propper gridlock... The thought of how frustrated the people stuck in the cars will be is enough to give me a warm glow inside! Once filtered a couple of miles up a completely stationary M1 only to realise all 4 lanes had been shut by the police and I was going to be stuck too - Although it's somehow not as frustrating when you know why.

Fun is:

a quiet Clear Summers Sunday riding with friends.
Trackdays.
trying to learn how to wheelie.
accidently power wheeling past a car on an overtake.
getting home from work in 15 minutes whatever the traffic.
