A thrilling glove dilemma.

Hopefully I managed to trick you into this thread by offering a thrilling dilemma, unfortunately it's neither thrilling nor a dilemma, more a decision, and a fairly mundane one at that!

Anyway, my gloves are falling apart, and I have to do a 300 mile trip halfway through December, I've just splashed out on a pair of SiDIs and a Richa twopiece, so the smashed up unbranded gloves have to go.

Ideally I'd like some Alpinestar GPs, either plus or pro, but realistically my budget is about £50 delivered (very very annoyingly I nearly won a pair on ebay yesterday for $75.)

Anyway heres a few I'm looking at:

Option one, MOTOGP Nitrous's:
tried these on in J&S earlier, so I know they fit, looked nice, stitching seemed good, a fairly obvious Alpine* GP ripoff, which always worries me, if they dont put cash into their own designs do they put it into quality control?
Option two, Dainese Panthers:
look like they've been dipped in Latex, I've heard bad things about dainese gloves, can anyone refute this?
Option three, Halversons State gloves:
Shoot me for being a tart, they look a bit crap. Though if someone'll vouch for them I'll be happy to ignore that

And of course there are plenty more, those are just the main contenders for my hands affections at the moment, I'd be very interested in your opinions on a decent sub 50 quid glove, I'm also perfectly happy with second hand stuff

Heine Gericke ones I've got seem pretty well made. In my recent off they stood up well (can't even see any damage to them) even though my left hand feels a wee bit knackered.

To be honest I'd definitely say get something warmer! I commute 30 miles to work at -3 some days, and it's really not pleasant even with some thick gloves.

If not i'd consider some inner gloves, but they might not fit inside your gloves if they are tight.

Oh and buy your summer gear in winter when the shops are getting rid of old stock, and the sunday croud pack it up, SIDI carbon vertibraes + Richa twopiece + Alpinestar GP pros for £170 baby!

Im a student, I cant afford to buy winter gear in winter

the plan is to have some big army surplus gloves over the top, to cut down on windblast, when the protecty gloves arrive I'll nip down the army and navy to see if thats gonna be practical. If not it'll be bike muff thingies.
Then under the protecty gloves I'll have some thin rubber gloves, to keep the damp out, add with that half my wardrobe over my leathers and stops every hour or so and I shouldnt end up too dead.

Then next summer I can get some winter kit.

I think you should be considering headed gloves for that sort of money.

muffs+grips are the way to go, specially @ -3ºc
at the moment my hands are too fecking hot never mind cold, that's with summer gloves on.
