anyone got a 250 bandit?

Dont hear anything about them.
Just wanted to know what their like,reliability e.t.c.
I know the 600 bandit is meant to be bullet proof,just not sure if its only that one or all bandits?

Been to have a look at a H reg one today for £360 quid.looked clean and tidy (bit small though).Seemed extremely slow which is what put me off it,but then i only revved it to about 10k rpm.The redline was at 18k rpm and the bloke says the power doesnt come in until over 10k.? Sounded like it would have blew up if i revved it any higher .

A tiny IL4 like that will need loads of revs to go quickly so I'd be inclined to believe the seller. The CBR250 which I saw 'in action' was screaming its head off but looked (and sounded) like great fun.

If I could find a reasonable 250 bandit in the South West for £360 then I'd certainly snap it up...

just make sure its in good nick. 250s are well known for being shagged money pits. Being ultra rare and exclusive doesn't make them exempt from ludicrously high maintenance costs and lack of spares!

But yeah, you should be able to get your money back. AFAIK, the only 250 naked worth getting was the hornet 250, since that was the original hornet.

And that hornet 250 is one hell of a bike

Your right about having to keep it in high revs but it is fun to ride. I was lucky, my bike has all the MOT's back to the first one, was really clean and you could tell it had been well looked after. For a 9 year old bike it looked stunning.

£350 seems very cheap though, almost too good.

I wasnt especcially looking for a bandit,i just fancyed it because it was different.
