Last night a twat of a kid in a car tried to kill me by pulling out of a side road. The road was wet and I had to fight both wheels locking and missed him by inches. He just carried on in their opposite direction to me so I spun the bike and gave chase. He tried to loose me but got stuck at lights, I pulled along side and tapped his blacked out window with my glove. He rolled the window down a touch and called me an old cynt and then rolled it back up. I once again gave a little tap on his glass but he ignored me.
British bikes are very reliable but I do always have a 10 inch adjustable spanner in my pocket. I opened his blacked out screen with the spanner, with luck he will now be able to see bikes.

He and his mate were quite big lads, I just did a U turn and buggered off sharpish. When I got home I noticed a little adrenalin had leaked from my body, adrenalin is brown.

Anyone that pulls up next to a car (and thinks they're invunerable) and kicks the door / mirror / window really ought to think a bit more about what you're doing.

G is right - all bikers will now be "the enemy" as far as he is concerned and some nutter might just try and ram the sh*t out of you should you try it on (and for a variety of reasons, you might not be able to simply speed away).

If someone pulled up next to me whilst I was in the car and smashed my window, they'd get the door opened into them and more than likely over they'd go. Then I'd bugger off and call the police.

a car tried to run me down when i was on foot after they chased me and i popped to a mates to try an get some help, they searched for us and found our bikes as we tried to get ther other 2 lads we were talkin to out of harms way, when i ran back to the bikes after hearin the car the fuckers where maulin with our bikes and i shouted get the fuck away to which one of them replied watch this, i'll run this fuckin cunt down, he then full pelt ran at me mounted the curb and just missed me. car drivers are cunts in my eyes except ones that take there time and relax and actually look at what they're doing.

driving tests need to be harder and you should have to pass a attitude test, or if you go to your test in trackies its an instant fail.

It aint big and it aint clever to bollox up cars and I suspect that the passenger is an ex pupil at my school. It is a matter of pride that no twat intimidates me. If you act you nust be prepared to take the consequences, i am waiting to see if anyone is willing to take it a stage further.

its best to talk rather than fight but as he failed to talk about it i think that justifed the reaction your uncontrolable road rage undertook.

The thing is many already consider bikers to be the enemy so why not just live up to the rep,

I posed the question is violence the answer , a year ago and it came up with a legally no , but morally yes type conclusion. As said the make a mistake ok , they cross the line and deliberately try to kill me and or try chase me or run me off the road they get their cars kicked, this just makes them madder, and in heavy traffic a bike can ALWAYS escape. Cars can't drive through other cars you know.

and yes I have been involved in 70+ mph chases on 30mph roads when it got a bad reaction and the guy went nuts , but thats what forward facing speed cameras are for.

Been driving a beemer myself this last week - am I a twat?

Do you see where we are going with this?

Your attitude toward car drivers suggests that, in the majority of cases you consider them to be agressive, anti bike morons. Everytime a bike hits a car, or a car does something that the bike didn't expect, you believe it to be further evidence that cars are out to get you, bikers do little wrong. That is, in any sensible person's mind, utter, utter horseshit.

and so do they. my OH's mum is one of them anti bikes so i have to deal with that every nite, i dont like cars and their owners even more granted with excepetions of the 5% that actually look what they're doing. and everyone on the road IS out to get you, end of. if you dont believe that then your a moron, that assumption has kept me alive so far and is still doing just fine. so i will believe my utter horse shit thank you as it keeps me safe. or shall i just wade through the roads and let my other road users decide me fate?

I agree that one should consider that all vehicles on the road are a danger, at all times, this is why good observation is key.

The thing is, your posts suggests a LOT of aggression and animosity toward car drivers, which the majority of the people on here also are. By continually attacking drivers, you risk antagonising people on here - as you have done to me.

I, as a biker, have not seen bikers at times on the road. Bikes are small, can be fast moving, and as such can be difficult to see. Recognition of this fact by bikers (which most do) is fundamental to staying safe.

Yes, car drivers make mistakes, as do bikers, yes some car drivers are utterly shit, as are some bikers, and yes a tiny proportion of car drivers will be actively and aggressively anti bike, as a tiny proportion of bikers will be toward cars. You appear to fall into the this last category, which is somewhat distasteful to car drivers (people like me), and bikers (yup, me again).

you get all that from text? am i not allowed to be anti car? i'm an aggressive person i cant help it, thats the way i was born. and i'm sorry if you feel that way about my posts but thats my opinion and thats how i feel about car drivers. so if its "distasteful" to car drivers, fine, now they know how i feel when they go "oh bikes are dangerous" well maybe if they took more time on driving than rushing home like its on fire or on the phone or fail to use that little fuckin amber light that tells other users which direction they wish to use. its not hard but then again things are hard if you make them.

Seems to be a much, much larger proportion of bikers that are intentionally anti-car than the other way around.

Ok, this maybe due to the dangers involved, but I suspect if any of these people spend some time driving a car they would realise that bikes also often make it a lot harder for themselves too.

a valid point, i ride near the center so i can see there eyes in there mirror, then theres no excuse. bikes are hard to see if your ducking in and out of view. i also give enough space for the car infront but the car behind hates this and tails me, why? eventually i get pissed off with mr arse shagger and end up over taking the car infront as soon as i have a clear path.

probably that cars you get away with a skid or a bit of damage to the outside and the person is completely ok,

while on a bike a similar nudge or fender bender has much more serious repercussions.

But as said after a while near wipe outs become rather common I had 3 last night on my 5 mile commute , one which was a mini round about no indies almost a replay of Hyndai Santa fe moment, another was where I was riding along at 25 , and a car comes out from between cars on the grid locked other side, he had the cheek to give me a blast on the horn, I wasn't filtering I wasn't in the wrong! .

And another where filtering a car nudged right to block me so I turn behind him and go to his left , he then turns left a bit trying to block me.

i cheered after i read the OP. however, this really does nothing for the rest of us that ride on two wheels. who knows if this cager is going to take it out on the next unsuspecting biker with a far dangerous outcome.

this really is a contentious issue amongst the biking community.
