another nsr jets queston

if i have a standard exhaust but with restrictor removed do i need to upjet to the recomended 138,42,65 or should i go abit smaller due to not having a race pipe. the reason i ask is i have been running the bigger recomended jets and they make the bike feel a bit sluggush on the rev pick up when pulling off from junctions lights ect.

Just out of curiosity did you do anything to your airbox when you modified the bike? And I take it you took the carb restrictor plate out?

i derestricted about a year ago which included changing the jets, i left the airbox as standard for the first 6 months then i drilled holes in the top but it just made it a bit louder with no noticable improvement in performance and yes i did remove the plate. the bikes a swiss import so i did have quite a lengthy derestriction process but i got em all sorted. by the look of the plug is does look to be runnin a bit rich but alains recommended those jets and he knows his stuff so i didnt question it at the time but lately i have started to wonder if there the right ones for my particular bike.
