Good tyre choice?

if you read what i said again it will make more sense, look at, mine, try, and spin out. any better? my rear tyre is a hard compound and there is little grip in the wet and cold, so my tyre just spins. if i had a better tyre i could attempt to wheelie.

Using it is one thing.
Covering it is totally different lol!

You never know when things can get outta hand mate, and you don't want to have to think about getting your foot in the right place!

I flipped it once before i covered the brake.

It's not much fun.
Well saying that, i just jumped off the back of the bike.

But seriously, you never know, the throttle might decide to jam or something crazy.

For slow stuff maybe you should try downgearing a bit?

Best bet is to ask sparks, but with the really slow stuff your more likely to drop the bike sideways than flip it.

i can wheelie thank you, my tyre doesnt hold its heat, i went home from the missus the other nite and the back was spinning under power all the way to mine, i needed a tyre that would last, but i'm starting to regret the lack of grip.

shall i picture whore like you when i get chance to actually get some pictures? just because i dont mean up and wheelie up a long road in my spare time doesnt mean i cant.

shuddup mike! lmfao Laughing

Stop using "SingDong" tyres then for fucks sake, it's a 400 for christ sake, I can't even imagine touring tyres spinning up under 'power' on it.

When I wheelie the viffer I do a slow burnout before hand. Not enough to square the tyre right off, but enough to make it sticky as fuck. Thumbs Up

I'm with the Tobster again. My hornet never span up under power, that had sports touring tyres on it, with 30 bhp more than a 400. I think you need new rubber mate.

I could wheelie my hornet for the record.

My Hornet does spin up under power, even when it was in 33bhp.. but that was usually when I started the ride for the day(after the engine was warm).

Haven't tried recently on normal wet roads tbh but I think any bike on any tyres will spin in the wet with about 2 inches of leaves Laughing

It certainly did spin at about 3k revs when I started leaving work one night at 4 AM. But then it was icy cold and the tyres had some form of ice Shifty

It was fine after a mile though and could still take corners quite fast without the rear end going anywhere except for where it should go Razz

Nice wheelies Jake, Wish I could do them half as good as you. I can do some form of wheelies but nowhere near as good as those Thumbs Up Cool Thumbs Up

I ride too fast too often and never think about trying to wheelie.. plus I don't really know anywhere secluded to try them out... Meh.
