Choose what you drink carefully and try and avoid getting one in the first place!
I find gin is good for not giving me hangovers.
Usual cure though for me is a strong black coffee if I can stomach it, followed by a big bottle of orange lucozade.

It does blink..... Laughing Laughing

A cheese sandwich before you go out drinking is meant to be good for preventing hangovers. I've never actually tried it though, so don't quote me on it.

Seriously, a nice pint will sort you out. However, I think you need to ease up if you think my avatar is blinking.

Water and sleep is the best combo, this is obviously if you can get it due to work... Rolling Eyes

I think muscle aching is not just booze, it's a lack of vitimins mainly C. A big glass of OJ is good for that.

Edit:- the hair of the dog works, can't remember the science behind it but its something like trying to poisen yourself again means your body reacts to it and you start to feel better.

I always used to drink a carton of orange juice and go for a walk. I'd alwyas get this odd tingly sensation i call 'hangover legs', sort of like a hot, prickly feeling, not painful as such, but a little disconcerting.

Just keep walking until it (and your head) clears.

The better quality the drink you consume the night before, the less of a hangover you'll get in the morning.

Good quality wines, ales and spirits are a lot less hang-over-inducing than cheaper beers and shit like Stella and other chemical filled plonk.

Also, if you have a decent meal before you go out, and indeed, make sure you keep hydrated, that will help too.

I have, during recent research (read: drinking all night), found that rather than dropping into bed like some sort of Neanderthal and sleeping straight away after coming in from a night on the booze, oneself should come in and eat a full meal (for example I ate dinner that I left in the oven) with a cup of tea and then a glass of water before getting into bed.

If one does this instead, then when one awakes in the morning (or afternoon Wink ) then one will not feel too bad, just a little dehydrated, but no headache or sickly feeling. Woohoo!

Disclaimer: It worked for me. If it does not work for you then tough shit. Razz

Haha, yes - I call them 'Lager Legs'! Laughing orrible.

Gallons of water and staying in bed not speaking or moving for the worst hangovers, Lucozade and fryup for certain medium-level hangovers, Guinness and roast dinner for the rest. Thumbs Up

Few mouthfuls of milk before you go drinking ive heard.
Or, yes a beer or two the next day dose clear it up - Thats if you can stomach another drink.
Larger used to give me really bad hangovers - Not the headache's (not had them for a while) but the hangover belly feeling.
Ive drank Whisky past few weeks on nights out, and I feel fine the next morning - Change drinks Mr. Green

sticking to one kind of alcohol. Making you sure you drink enough water. Thats all i bother with.

I've found out that actually going out (fresh air) and doing something the next day has been the best cure for me.

Fry up for definite. Brilliant cure!

Other one I forgot about, which I used to do in the winter with an early saturday start after a heavy friday, have a REALLY hot shower, then get dried/ dressed and head straight outside without a coat or owt- I found that the sudden change in temp. from one extreme to another (ish) meant that my head had cleared by the time I got to work, at least well enough to allow me to deal with all the miserable old people that seem to patronize (in every sense of the word) my local co- op of a saturday morning.

Simple cure is don't drink too much, I've found I can drink around 3-5 pints a night, feel like I am socialising and enjoy it and wake up the next morning feeling fine.

I soooooo don't see the point anymore of drinking to excess, been there, done that and thrown up over bridges!

Stick your finger down your throat before going to bed. No sense getting drunker off the booze in your gut when the party's over.
