After learning on one of these Pico: (during a sesh up at my brother's in Lincolnshire, mashed off our nuts)
https://www.renchi.com/upload/product/img/picoz-pinki-v01l.jpg
and giving it a good battering, then killing the one he gave me for a xmas prezzy by sticking a pin in it, I've ordered one of these: https://www.buzzflyer.co.uk/Sub-Micro-RC-Helicopters/BuzzFlyer-Buzz-Fly/p-97-747/

£14 gets you a hell of a lot of fun (the Pico), but it's a cheap 2-channel polystyrene barely-guided cat-clatterer.

The Buzz Flyer is your carbon-fibre 4-channel £100+ indoor semi-professional cat-killer.

Highly recommended and gets the Abunai Corp seal of approval. Thumbs Up

The Picoo Z is such excellent fun I had to share it with my 'work' colleagues.... Now we have 2 in the office. And we can dogfight them. Rolling Eyes Wink

You can buy a dogfight set for £65-ish, they work on IR and when one zaps the other it's motor stops. Thumbs Up

That's kind of how I killed my xmas-prezzie. I was going to use a drawing-pin, but as I couldn't find one I used a tailor's pin with a metal pop-fastner on the head end. Unfortunately the pin was so long (and I was so stoned) that it went through the battery into a circuit-board and touched a chip. Pzt! Crying or Very sad Laughing

For a decent 4 channel helicopter I'd recommend one of these:
https://www.nitrotek.co.uk/8EK1H-E004.htm

Cheaper, and with a better range & battery life. Not so good indoors as its bigger. Probably just as useless outdoors because anything other than perfectly still will ruin either of these.

Paper clip - unfold one end and poke it in. Works a treat and gives a little 'hook' to pick stuff up with.... Cool
