had a crash last night...

If you have an accident you should report it to the local cop shop within 48 hours, I think thats the law.
If it was a main road there will be cctv, I wouldnt worry to much mate.

was an underground carpark i know i should of got his details but id just been smacked with a 2 ton car so i wasent really thinking straight Sad

anyway my insurance wont do anything for me unless i can get there details :S

You only have to report an accident to the police if someone is injured. However, if the crash is the other party's fault call them anyway as it can help with the insurance claim.

The car you hit/hit you will contact their insurers who will in turn contact yours. Wait to hear from your insurance company.

Depends who the blame lies with. If it's decided 100% against you then no, you'll not get anything.

dam.. well my bike stills runs but all the panels are snapped off ect. i still managed to ride the bike home holding everything in place with sticky tape Very Happy

No. Find the problem and solve that, shouldn't be too hard.

Insurance should cover any incident in a 'publicly accessible area' I believe.

Indeed it does, the owner of the car park probably has signs up all over it saying they are not liable for any damage in it though.

Good chance the car park will have cctv.

Now here is a good rub. On private property you can scam your way out.....
As a skip wagon did to one staff member where i used to work. Skip slipped and dented door panel, which we all saw.... Guy rang his boss, who told owner to go to a certain garage to get it quoted for as they used them a lot ??? Well the quote came back at £400, seems a whole new door was required. When they were told they suddenly denied any knowledge of this, police not interested as its private property and guy ins co could/would not help despite 10 signed statements saying what had happened and who had done it. He would have had to claim on his own ins and for all the trouble he decided to leave it as it was....

Maybe it's just me but I would never dream of having a drink before riding. If I was out on a summers ride what's wrong with a shandy?
