Removing Datatool System 3 alarm...

okay following on from my previous thread, one of the connector pins on the PCB snapped off! so the alarm is now worthless, stupid POS.

I've had one removed from my stunt bike so I sort of remember how to do it, but not fully, anyone got a wiring diagram or removal instructions?

I know its a really quick and easy job though I just want to get it right.

It's not worthless, take it to a pcb repair place, they should be able to fix it. It's not a big job so shouldn't cost much.

The PCB is covered in some expoxy resin stuff, theres no way it can be fixed and I don't have the time or inclination to get it fixed! The bike is for sale and I'm desperate for money... thinking about it, I don't have any paperwork for the alarm anyway so it won't do aything for new buyers insurance.. was just a nice extra on the bike for when selling... but its becoming much more hassle than it will be worth when selling....

I've done it the non-lazy way, traced all the wiring and took it out that way.. was pretty easy TBH altho I am an electrician so I kinda know what I'm doing Laughing

Anyway, bike runs nicely now but smokes heavily.. this is the first time it's been started in 3 years though!!! so I'm not tooo worried just yet.. going to do an oil and filter change tomorow and take it for a spin see if that clears it.
