Hi, Spent an hour or so making this earlier.
It started off as just a bracket to hold my air regulator/water trap , but then I thought ,why not make a spray gun holder and a place to wrap the hose round , So here is what I came up with.
First of all I started off with a sheet of ally and cut a square out of it, like this:

https://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s297/honda_tlr/DSC01059.jpg

I then bent a right angle on one end , using a large hammer.

Then used a hole cutter to cut the hole for the regulator/ water trap.

https://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s297/honda_tlr/DSC01061.jpg

Then checked that the regulator was going to fit in the hole properly.

https://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s297/honda_tlr/DSC01058.jpg

I then cut a hole for the gun to rest in and also cut 2 flaps out for the hose to rest against.

https://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s297/honda_tlr/DSC01063.jpg

And the finally cleaned up the metal and assembled it on the wall. just like this:

Thanks for reading.

Cheers Jenks. Thumbs Up
A proper holder just for the regulator is about £20 so saved a fair bit. Smile
The ally was free and I found the regulator upstairs in the garage.
Very Happy

Nice one, I like it when you can find a quick fix for something that would cost you.

Made meself a little stool on wheels, with a tool tray underneath - made it out of an old shelf unit, and nicked a few small wheels off a settee that was being thrown out, and some plywood -worked a bloody treat it did Smile

uncalled for. Anything to have a go at him.

Nice work! Get a file and straighten up those edges though. If a job is worth doing, its worth doing properly.

A perspex one might be better and certainly more 'seethroughable'.

an all perspex one would be way to costly , the viewing window will be perspex though.
Thumbs Up
Going to use mdf or ply wood , costs around £5 for a 60cm by 120cm sheet.

i dont know muchabout how much power a shot blaster kicks out but wouldnt something a bit stronger than plywood do the job better? perhaps a sheet metal 'coating' on the inside?

Cheers

I was gonna suggest the same as what virus said,

Something like thin sheet metal covering the internals of the box, and make it double the thickness of whatever wood youre using, maybe 10mm of mdf? (It may be heavier, but a damn site more durable)

Cool idea though mate. I take it youve already got a shot blaster?
