Hi All,
I bought some ACF 50 and cleaned the bike up today, to start winter proofing it.
Anyway, cleaning went on for a while ... Then the time for the ACF 50 came ... but what confused me is the way it's applied.
I have read many write-ups stating that it should be misted on. But the can that it comes in just squirts big thick splodges of it and both bottle I had does it.
I ended up spraying rather a lot everywhere, then just wiping the excess off, which at £10 a bottle is rather pricey, especially as it used half of it.
My method left a thin layer of the oily substance on, but due to it being thick and heavy, I don't know if it went right into the nooks and crannies
I tried putting it into a spray bottle, like the one's used for water plants, but again, it just came out as a think splodge. Plus ruining the only spray thingy we have ...
would the spray lots on, wipe the excess off method work?
Thanks,
Luke. ____________________ 2007 Kawasaki ZX10R :: 1998 Kawasaki ZX-9R - SOLD

Hi luke, thats how I used mine for a bit. Then I got bored as it does exactly what you describe so I split the can and put it in a jar and now brush it on
Note: should you decide to do this be careful when splitting the can as it's pressurised. I made a very small hole in it by 'corkscrewing' a knife into it and left it in the jar for about ten minutes until it stopped leaking out before opening up the whole can. ____________________ Check out our tackle shop on Facebook:
