Got to decide between 2 bands.. The one im in at the moment is a heavy metal band, but its getting bland with only 3 of us.

Went to my mates band last night, they are well known and more scremo ( ) but much more technical/more my taste of music.

Thing is I have been in my current band for almost 2 years. :S

Pointless thread, but maybe some people could help me with an excuse/ line to leave my current band with?

Are you an axeman? Just tell them you need a challenge and want to broaden your horizons. Are you gigging with them or just tooling about? Cos you could say you'll still gig with them and so on.... Being in 2 bands is cool too.

Yeh, im gigging with them, but im at the point of feeling embarassed when i play with them, as i dare say im much more musicly talented than them.

This new band, they are ALL brilliant at what they play, and it just gelled together.

I also cant gig in 2 bands, I havnt got the time to do so, or the money.

easy then, just fuck them off - say you're moving on BUT MAKE AN EFFORT TO STAY MATES!! you never know when one of them might step in at the last minute for someone

Just say you are looking for something new, and that you are not feeling the music anymore... If they dont understand thats their problem.
