Right. The only restrictors that i am aware of on the Ice are in the Variator, and the Exhaust. I've had a brand new 07 piaggio (Gilera) Ice since october,so was obviously restricted, and still am( Wink Rolling Eyes ). But this is what ive heard about de restricting the Ice. My 'mates' would only do 29/30 on a straight and 37down a big hill, although claims of up to speeds of 45mph were had down an even bigger hill, and it was screaming its head off. The restrictors in the variator consist of two washers on the first 'wheel' you come to,im using general terms,as im not so sure how 'good' you are with bikes. The wheel on the left is the one you want, the one on the right,to the rear is the clutch. To undo this you need an impact wrench, and a variator locking tool. Or you can use a small spanner, piece of wood,or something to wedge so the wheel doesnt keep on spinning, just be careful not to damage the components. Just incase you dont know, the variator is located in the 'tranny casing',which should be the grey casing that your kick start connects to. The restriction on the exhaust is a smaller 'pipe' leading off the main pipe to a dead end,so there is no need for it,so im lead to belive. My 'mate Wink ' has had his Ice de restricted two weeks ago,and managed to pull 43 on the straights with ease and had 49 down a slight hill,so it is 'quite' a difference to restricted form, and you only need to use quarter throttle to sit at 30 so its not screaming all the time. Im not sure if i have been clear enough in this post,as i have some other things sitting on my mind right now,but if i havent explained something well enough,or you dont understand something just let me know. Good luck mate, its quite easy really. Thumbs Up
