 |
|
Got in from work yesterday and accidentley dropped my lid from waist height onto my sons plastic ride-on car. Turns out its now got a 2 inch crack on the outside
so, (and i know im probably opening up a can of worms here) im wondering what to go for next...
Ive tried on both arai's and agv's, they both work for me, so reccomend me a lid out of the two brands.
Cheers |

If the s500 is built like my new shark RSi, it'll have a very thin outer shell, and a load of woven carbon aramid stuff inside. Meant to be one of (if not) the safest designs around
Very odd that its cracked after such a minor drop still, I mean, my old AGV stealth hit the ground at speed right on the chin guard, and its only taken the paint off. No other visible damage. ____________________ TL1000s, KDX200 |

Thats funny...
My old shark S800 , took 3 medium type hits before the big 105mph incident and I'm still fine. ____________________ Spain 2008France 2007Big one 2009 We all die. stinkwheel Well I just had my hands up a pigs fanny. Which makes your concerns pale into insignificance. |

Go for whatever fits you the best and feels most comfortable within your price range, I initially wanted an AGV or HJC and walked out with an Arai.
I use a Chaser and its ace, with the pinlock visor it only starts to mist up round the edges in absolutely freezing conditions and its suprisingly quiet, only time I need to go for the plugs is in extended motorway blasts.
I was looking at a HJC FS10 initially but I saw a string of lids all with faulty sunvisor mechanisms which put me off that model, as for AGV, a mate has one of the old (Afaik its 3 or 4 years old) K lids as a spare and the visor mechanism is woefully loose. My only gripe with the Arai is that the thicker tinted visors can be a bit nerve wracking to fit at first (Crunch, grind, snap ). ____________________ 2010 Triumph 1050 Sprint ST |
