PostPosted: 23:14 - 04 Dec 2007    Post subject: Anyone got a professional sounding voice? Reply with quote

Hi guys, need your help.

Could someone record an answer machine message for me. I have just set up a telephone number for my business. My voice doesn't sound very professional. Someone here may be able to help me out.

Would someone be able to record this voice message for me.

"Hello and welcome to damtec supplements.co.uk".

"Could you please leave your name and contact details, someone will get back to you as soon as possible".

"Thank you",

"Damtec supplements, changing the trends in sports supplements".

END

Thanks everyone. Brilliant as always

You really should get a woman to do it. Sounds better than a bloke no matter how good they are.

If this is for overnight/weekend use, you should really say:

"You've reached the offices of damtec supplements.co.uk. Our office hours are 9-5pm Monday to Friday. Please leave your name and contact details, and someone will get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you."

Lose the slogan at the end, too.

Apparently, the Welsh accent sounds more trustworthy and friendly than others, so you'll need to find a Welsh lass, such as Lozzypop...

You don't want Welsh! Though it's not the worst, regional dialects really put people off, you want a non-regional dialect. Women do have good voices over the phone but if you'd prefer a guy I don't have an accent and I've got a good phone manner, working in telemarketing. Will knock it out if you fancy, my Audigy 2 just arrived so it will give me a chance to test out the mic. Mr. Green

Dear Paivi, please could you send me the following as a 'test':

"Hello there Mister James, I find you devastatingly attractive, wait there while I change into something more comfortable".

All sound formats accepted - feel free to ad-lib it as suits the occasion!

Well hearing a Welsh accent on the phone automatically brings to my mind a sense of frustration along with the feeling I am being lied to.

Maybe I've phoned the DVLA too many times.

Do NOT use 'greensleves' as hold music!

Scottish women are supposed to have the "best" phone voice. Lucky if you can find a good one..... (and I'm a Scot)

Actually. Which mobile network is it that has Tom Baker (Dr. Who) reading out texts sent to landlines?

Text the message to your landline and folks will think you are a well classy operation for being able to afford him to do your answerphone message Thumbs Up

Had a go for you, voice sounds really girly at the minute though for some reason, might chain-smoke for a bit and have another go...

You're right Lee, and also, according to Ram Doom, it lacked any kind of emotion.

Here is another go.

N.B. I do have emotions.

Honestly.

Confused

(Stupid is an emotion.)

Not quite sure how to take that...

I'll go with compliment for now. There's really no need to correct me.

You sound incredibly proffesional, you could get work doing movie trailer voiceovers.

I hate you.

You want a BBC voice.

Scottish female voice on the phone are the worst. I understand an Indian easier.

I'll record a Somerset special for you tomorrow morning. Thumbs Up Laughing
