Someone point me in the right direction.

I want to connect the permanent connectors of my Optimate type charger to my battery so I can leave it on maintenance charge over the next few weeks.

I have a datatool alarm system fitted and want to know, if I disconnect the battery do I have to de spike the alarm.

Also, where will I find the alarm fuse, not sure if it had a spare so want to make sure I have one.

Thanks

If you do it properly you wont spike the alarm and therefore wont need to de-spike it...

Put the alarm into service mode, then you can disconnect and reconnect the battery without doing any harm to it. Wink

There is also a fuse (mini type) the fitter should have told you where abouts it is when the alarm was fitted as on every bike it SHOULD be fitted in a different place.
