hi there dose any one have a clue where a could get some blue print for how to build a chopper and a jig as i wont to make one for my college project some one help me please

Hell thats asking for a lot when you consider most choppers are made by sight with a few tools to help

All these ones on tv like on OCC is nothing more than a prefab they buy from a company and I doubt they would give away there drawings

Isn't a chopper whatever the hell you want it to be, or is part of the 'course work' having to have plans of the finished bike?

I wish I went to school that did this sort of thing. Instead in my design and technology I designed a human mousetrap the size of a small hatchback car.

Got any ideas of donor bikes or hybrid parts?

A lot are based around existing frames with the head angle "chopped" and often the arse end hardtailed by removing the back end of a standard frame and replacing the suspension with solid. I suggest (if you havent done so already) getting your hands on a mag like BSH and going through the ads to find your local frame builder, and giving them a call/ paying them a visit explaining what you want to do. If your polite and sound keen I'm sure they'll offer you help and advice!

And if you do a good job I can commission you to build me one

Ok it's not a bike, but uses a bike engine

Got the blueprints for the two seater model, planning on building one myself one day with IRS as opposed to the fixed link you see on those ones.

One of the main things to consider is what engine you are using as you will have to consider mounting points etc, OCC use the same engines so it's easier for them, as someone has already said most choppers/ fighters are modified original frames, if you can speak to your nearest bike breakers and see if you can get your hands on a written off bike, so you have a frame as a starting base.

Not much point, seen it done in Dubai and you just can't put the power down. Wheels just spin for ages and ages

Go and have a browse around there.

Also look out for magazines like Back Street Heroes, 100% Biker, see if you can get your hands on some old copies of AWOL, even Streetfighters mag. All of these often do full build projects (often over a number of issues though) or articles on certain specific aspects of building a chop and should make interesting reading for you.

Have a look on the ads pages and you will find local bike builders near to you - go and talk to them.

Ignore anything made by OCC. That's not real chop building.
Chops n' bobbers are my local guys (when I'm home), dropped in on them once and they seemed a friendly bunch. Also responsible for some really nice bikes, I'm in love with their BSA A10 bobber. Give 'em a call or an email and see if they can help ya.
