Just wandering if there are any companies that let you buy kit on credit. Since I want to get new textile trousers, back protector and gloves for the wife but don’t have £200+ spare at the moment. So buying it now and paying it back in split payments would make life ALOT easier but can’t find any companies selling kit offering this?

Hein Gericke do with their club card scheme, but be careful, the interest free doesnt last long and the length of time depends on how much you spend (ie spend 150 get 3 months, over 300 get 6 months).

After this the APR is 29.9%.
I bought an exhaust for my old bike this way, and a few other bits and bobs. Total cash price would have been about 400, I've spent close on 700 and am still paying it off.

Halifax C/C is interest free until some time next year. We're buying our new kitchen with one and keeping the money budgeted for the job in premium bonds. We've had 3 or 4 wins already, so better than interest from a bank.

A low rate bank loan along with a cheap shop that doesn't do 0% often makes more sense.

It's debt however you do it. You may end up paying more by going for 0% too.

You sound just like my parents saying that Laughing . The reason being my AKITO textiles the fly zip is broken again and the velcro has gone on them but they are still waterproof and reasonably comfy. But your probably right it's a want not a need issue really Embarassed suppose if they get really tatty i could just buy cheap over trousers for my leathers Confused

Well my friend only wants £1k for his Transalp so looks like i may have some spare cash after all. What recommendations would people give for good textile trousers? At present i have some tatty AKITO Python.
I'm looking for something waterproof/breathable with removable/washable liner. But dont really want to spend too much.

Tuzo stuff is surprisingly good for the money. I have the "urban" trousers with the cargo pockets (very handy). So far really warm and waterproof.
