Just a quick one: My insurance covers me for international use, so is it legal to ride in France on a CBT and full car license?

it would seem if you are over 18 and have a car licence you can ride a 125cc in France. They dont seem to have a cbt.

I will be riding my own (UK-registered) bike if that makes any difference.

You require a full category A or restricted licence to ride within continental Europe, in other words you need to pass your test.

Although your insurance may state that you are covered, I can assure you that as soon as you get off the boat in France your cover will be invalid and the French are hotter on vehicle legalities than we are in the UK and we are bad enough.

Over there a 50cc is classed as a bicycle so no documents, insurance, reg plate etc. What you could do is take your reg plate off and if you getted pulled up say it's a 50cc, I'm sure they wouldn't be any the wiser.
