Hi

There are kits available, but when you add up the cost I am not sure it is worthwhile. Any reputable tuner like Big CC Racing, Holeshot Racing or Roger Upperton should be able to supply and fit such a kit.

TTS list an 884 kit, and it mentions that the kit consists of pistons, liners and head gasket. £220 is the price given for installing the liners, but no price is given for the kit.

However it might be cheaper (and more effective) to just slot in a 1200 Bandit engine, or even a late oil cooled GSXR750 engine.

All the best

Keith

Hi

They are tough engines so out last the rest of the bikes. Seem to be a fair few around the breakers and on Ebay.

You will need to make some small spacers up for the rear engine mounts (they are in the right place, just the mounting bolts on the 1200 are larger, and apparently using the 600 / 750 mouinting bolts in the 1200 cases results in the mounting points cracking off), and also the 1200 carbs (and for safety probably the 1200 cdi).

All the best

Keith

yeah, agree with kickstart,
i know that you can use the 600 CDI with the 750 motor but this isnt advised as it allows it to rev 1k rpm higher than it should, BOOOOOOM!!! Thumbs Down Thumbs Down not good,

I have a set of gsxr750 carbs somewhere, im pretty sure they'll fit onto the 600 Mr. Green

Wouldn't it be easier to sell it and get a 1200 bandit? Then you don't get stung on insurance for modifying the engine. 1200 bandits aren't that high of an insurance group I think?

Gixxer 1100 engine Thumbs Up Maybe a 750 engine. but wouldn't bother with the BBK because of costs and how beneficial it would be compared to other options that are avaliable.

One of my mates has a bandit 1200 engine with bandit carbs, gix1100 cams and crank... apparently its as fast as fook Smile

cheers, Daz.
