how do you take the exhaust of a suzuki A100 its old about 1970,s it is the front pipe it has like a big washer round it with grooves on it?

If I can remember that far back when I had an A100. I think the fins are cosmetic. There should be two studs holding that in place, when that is removed there are two 'collets' which also need to be removed to take off the exhaust.

You will need a C spanner but some people tap it open with a screw driver.

i have tried the screwdriver but it is rusted tight looks like i will have to try the c spanner i already have the barrel off the bike how will i remove it as i have sold the frame?

No, the A100 has a screw-collar. Even after you manage to get the collar un-screwed, the pipe can be quite tightly stuck in there. Best thing to do is loosen the collar then go for a ride Smile

If you have the barrel off then you will have the front pipe off with it.
How will that stop you sending off the frame.
Or is it the barrel you have sold.

Surprised that one of those pressed-steel frames has survived in saleable condition really - they do tend to rot easily.
