Or if you want decent sound quality, buy it from a HiFi shop.

Why spend lots of money on a HiFi then join it together using cheap shit cable?
Shit cable, couple of quid

Better cable, WAY better than the last stuff but still pretty average, about a fiver.

Really fucking good cable. About sixty quid.

unless your superman (or a really nerdy audiophile) your unlikely to notice the difference between a £1 cable and a £60 cable other than dent in your wallet.

in my opinion of course.

I garauntee you'll notice the difference between a £1 and a £60 cable.

You would be harder pushed to tell the difference between a £5 and a £60 cable.

At least get cable with some shielding on it.

Cheapest place I've found for cables is CPC Preston. Trouble is you get stung for postage.

Otherwise, you'll probably find that specialist DJ and HiFi shops are cheaper than high street stores because they don't make their money on the cables and stuff. They usually throw them in with a system and sell them at minimal markup.

The last stereo cartrige I bought for my deck was from a DJ shop. The guy charged £20 for a decent cartrige complete with stylus which he also connected and balanced for me. I used to be paying £30 for just a stylus.

I'd second what Stinkwheel says about using quality cables - if you have a half decent hi-fi system you will be able to tell the difference. Remember that the system will only sound as good as the worst link in the 'chain'.

I have a Rega Planet CD player and it sounds pretty ordinary with crappy cables but even with the £30 Cambridge Audio lead I use the difference is amazing.

Richer Sounds are fairly cheap Thumbs Up

I'll have a gander at some DJ shops in Manchester tommorow then. Reflex is good for DJ type shite. As is the Spin in in the Northern Quarter of Wankchester.

Cheers Thumbs Up
