According to one of my mates on msn it's a fuel with an octane rating of 129.
Would it be safe to use ?

Hi

While ethanol is alcohol, don't be tempted to drink it. Fair chance that there is still methanol in it (closely related and makes you blind).

While it has a high octane number it also has a lower energy content by volume so you need rather more of it than petrol.

I have something the doctor gave me for my throat with ethonol in it. Taste horrible! Had it when i had tonsillitis as well in a spray form. But Jamie Google would have been a good, just a suggestion lol

Ethanol is used as fuel by the Indy Racing League in the US. They used to use methanol but changed to reflect the growing interest in biofuel type fuels. The blend they run gives 113 octane, and seen as how they run 225mph average laps I'd say it works pretty well.
