are there any photographers out there after any bike wheelie photos for their portfolio? everyone i know has these gay cameras with about a 5 second delay and theyre no good...
does anyone have anything they want to use that has a very fast shutter speed?
think of it as an oppertunity, you dont often see a 1984 GSXR400 held together by electrical tape and prayers pulling a wheelie

Options:
1) Find someone with a proper film camera that has zero delay between pressing the button and taking the picture.
2) Do better wheelies so the front wheel is up for long enough to take a picture. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”

Just find someone with a decent SLR film or digital that shoots in burst mode (lots of pics in quick succession) and has an auto focus which can follow the subject when framed.
All of those things make it much easier to get some good shots with little talent
That way you can get a few shots of the wheelie in progress and make a nice series if it goes well.
Also a good bright day helps if your shooting some fast action stuff.
these 2 are unfortunately all I have to show atm
Not the best wheelie but the guys i ride with dont tend to do them anyway. So you need to be quick when one does

The Ski center shouldn't be a problem, although don't you work there? Riding like a loon on company property seems a bit brave?
As far as out of the way goes, if you'd have said 'well I know this great road out of the way past Bude' then we might have got a bit annoyed ____________________ 2010 Triumph 1050 Sprint ST |

i used to work there, got fired, want to piss off the managers a bit part of the reason. also, the carpark is like a small square so i can do circuits etc. and its far away from buildings of the actual centre.
i know everyone who works there though, they'll love the idea
and nah, not that far away
how much would you be willing to do this for? ____________________ Blue_SV650S wrote: it was a sh1te wheelie, but it proves that he can get it up in 3rd and can do angles. Excuse the thread necromancy
Caught up with matey. With the kit he has, the fastest lens on offer happens to be his telephoto zoom, if you want decent quality pics the best bet would be a decent length of flat straight road, preferably somewhere out of the way so you can make a good few runs at it. Best local roads I can think of for this would be something like cadover bridge
He isn't too hot on the car park idea as tbh, potentially having to do a runner with big heavy camera gear isn't much fun ____________________ 2010 Triumph 1050 Sprint ST |
