I use Windows XP too, it's on my Mac (running Boot Camp), but only really use it to play RCT2/3 or anything that only runs on Windows. Karma

Oh they're far worse than that...

They're the "educational" toys that your parents buy for you.

How do you run bootcamp? I'd love to get it to run some PC only apps such as FL Studio. I have Reason but it's far too complicated for my level. (They're both music making programs for those that don't know)
The reason I say my Mac is great is because there are 2 PCs in my girlfriend's house, one of them being less than a year old, and there is nothing but problems.
I always wanted a PC for the games when I was smaller, and my dad kept telling me no no no you'll have problems PCs are all crap. I thought he was just an ignorant fuck but I'm realising now that he was pretty much right. You have to be very experienced to never have problems with a PC, and I hate the whole million folder policy. I just find OSX to be so much more organised and easy to use, and I really have no bias involved in saying this.
There are also so many little annoying things about windows in general which bugs me. cntr alt delete to force quit stuff never works smoothly, so you end up smashing the cpu in rage. (Mac does it in one second)
When you search for something in the cpu it takes AGES! I don't know why. It seems like it checks every item one by one. Again Mac is very fast at this. I could go on. There are of course advantages of having a PC eg. It's generally much cheaper and more upgradable
Much more games software freeware etc etc etc
But I have made my preference

Thing with PC's is you get what you pay for, and yeh they do take some servicing but it's worth it in the end.

Its like say I went to packard bell and bought a PC, it will work great for about 6 months but I wouldn't be suprised if it started to fall apart after that, cause the stuff they use is generally quite cheap and poor quality.

Whereas if I buy the parts myself and build the PC (granted takes some experience, but I built my first one at 13) I can build something that will run for years with few problems and will be very powerful in comparison to a store bought PC of a similar cost.

I've never used a mac but then I've heard a lot of bad things so I'm not sure I want to really.
