I've seen a 2004 model Hornet 54 plate for £3,895. Its done 2,600 miles. It has a data tool alarm and immobiliser. With a Sport exhaust, crash bobbins, silver grill, amongst others. Looks the dogs bollocks in metalic blue. What do people think?

2,600 miles!!! Thats very low! The engines will do at least 20 times that.

Sounds expensive to me, but I am not so sure about the prices of the 600..

yeh it also sounds expensive to me but it looks great. Low mileage, alarm etc. I would say around £500 plus extras. But does it justify the asking price.

I wouldn't have said so myself. You could get a higher mileage one that should be just as reliable, make it look 'good' for you for a lot less money.

Not sure what the RRP is, but I doubt that price is much below what you could have got them for a few years ago. Remember it's going to be 4 years old soon - however low the mileage, I expect the price to go down a fair bit in that time.

Way, way overpriced then, more so if that's the price for a new 2007 model.

You could probably get £500 worth of 'extras' on ebay for £200 in good condition.

Or you could just pay someone to clean an older one Smile.

Man, you can get a gixxer or R6 for that price, even a ZX6R B1H etc! R1's can also be had. Just bide your time, be patient and you'll find one that's about 2500 quid easily in good condition.

Is that at a dealer? If so it is about the right price, but if you walk in with no p/x now you will get a few hundred off.

I think its best you wait till your friend has passed his test too and see what's available then. You could both go bike shopping together? Wink

I suspect this is the one at Dobles. I know this because I'm looking for one as well! To be honest, I think it's somewhat overpriced, particularly as the silver tat on it won't add any value. Indeed, Dobles are doing new 07 models (old shape) for £4,299.

If you do some shopping around you'll find better deals. I seem to recall George White have a 55 black 600 hornet with 1k miles for about £3,500. (I'm not connected to them in anyway).

As someone else said, have a look at the Hornet's Nest.
